Hi babes! Today I’m going to be sharing my top 7 must-have hair products for Summer! I’ve had a few requests over the last year to share some of my favorite hair products, but have never been in a good routine with my hair. For a long time, I didn’t use any type of products other than hairspray and dry shampoo, and my hair stayed in pretty bad shape. The ends always showed my neglect, and overall, my hair was styled, but never had that shine of healthy hair.
However, over the last few months I have really stepped up my hair game, and I can tell a HUGE difference! My hair looks and feels SO. MUCH. BETTER. I always knew the importance of good products, but never felt that I had any extra time to devote to working them into my regimen. The products I’m sharing are super easy to include into your daily or weekly regimen and I can’t stress the importance of them enough! FYI: This is not a sponsored post. I’m just sharing the products that I have been loving lately. 😉
At $45, this product is definitely a splurge, but it has been so worth it! My hair has always been dry, but especially in the Summer. I’m constantly outside in the pool, and our chlorine pool dries my hair out so quickly! This product has been a lifesaver. I use it after my shampoo about 1-2 times per week (depending on how often I washed my hair that week). I really spend some time working it into the ends of my hair and then let it sit for 2-3 minutes before rinsing. I follow with my conditioner, but I do not put my regular conditioner on the top of my head, just about halfway down to ensure that the top of my head does not look greasy.
Anyone live on dry shampoo like me? Then you’ve probably experienced scalp buildup. This product has been awesome for clearing the buildup of dry shampoo and hairspray (two things I use in excess) from my scalp. It says you can use it once or twice a week, but I just use it whenever I notice that my scalp is in need. Great $9 purchase!
Okay so I’ve heard people on social media raving about this product forever. I knew I wanted to try it, but just never made the purchase. Before this, I had never use a leave-in product on my hair and for some reason had the impression that it would make my hair too heavy. That is not the case at all! You spray this all over when your hair is still wet, and then brush it through. It smells SO GOOD! There are so many benefits to this product, but the smell alone sold me! It repairs damaged hair, adds shine, controls frizz, etc, etc. Seriously, best product ever!
Okay so, when my hair is still wet, first I use the It’s a 10 Miracle Leave in Product, then I get about a golf ball size squirt of the Scruples Volumizing Foam and work it through my hair. Afterwards, I spray the Scruples Blow Dry Spray throughout. The volumizing foam is amazing! It’s what my hairstylist uses and swears by. I will say, that after blow-drying my hair feels slightly waxy from these two products, but once I’ve styled it, that feeling goes away and I don’t ever notice it again. The Blow Dry Hair is a 2-in-1 product. It not only helps your hair dry faster, but it also has a heat protectant. This is an element that I was definitely missing before. I never used any type of heat protection on my hair, and I can definitely tell a difference since using this. I also love the way the Blow Dry Spray smells and it does cut down on my drying time!
If you’ve followed me for long, you already know that I LOVE BIG SEXY HAIRSPRAY. I have been using this product for years and I never plan to switch. If there was only one hair product I could use for the rest of my life, it would be this one. This hairspray has the best hold of any I’ve ever tried and is also volumizing (you know us Southern girls love our volume!). I cannot say enough good things about this hairspray. Literally obsessed.
Hi, my name is Savilla Mountain and I’m a dry shampoo-aholic. I’ve tried them all. I live on dry shampoo and sometimes go 3-4 days without washing my hair. I mean, who has time? Because of this, I’ve done the legwork on dry shampoos. And while I’ve tried some that are more expensive, for $8 this one is comparable to some of my pricier favs. This product smells great, does an excellent job, and doesn’t leave any white residue on my dark roots. Total win all around!
So there you have it, my top favorite hair products. What are yours? I’d love to hear what you use and love!
